Mission Insider Report.... Christian Persecutions... ALERT

Nigerian Christians Killed in Seven Christmas Eve Bombings JOS, Nigeria (December 29, 2010) - While the city of Jos is still in flames and under a 24-hour military curfew, the first eye-witness reports have begun to come in from indigenous missionaries trapped by the continuing violence. Over 80 people were killed in seven bombings and assaults on Christmas Eve and the death toll is mounting as street fighting continues.
According to a trusted indigenous leader, thousands of internally displaced refugees are on the move. He confirmed that pastors and Christian leaders were targeted and killed in the attacks.
Christian Aid
Mission Africa Director Rae Burnett said that the missionary, who is executive director of the one of the mission agencies Christian Aid assists in Jos, is asking Christians around the world to urgently pray for Christians in Nigeria, especially those in the city of Jos. "We are in regular contact with indigenous missions' leaders there and are already collecting aid for the survivors - helping them to bury the dead, rebuild homes and churches and heal broken lives."
Wire service reports say authorities first believed the attacks were orchestrated by a
militant Islamic group that has killed dozens of Christians since September in the region. However a new and different terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the Christmas Eve assassinations in Jos and church burnings in Borno State as well.
Rae Burnett released parts of an email report from Gabriel Barau, the executive director of
Missionary Crusaders Ministries, who was in Jos for a Christmas field visit when the attacks began.
"Right now, my family and I are still trapped on the outskirts of Jos where Muslim fanatics have set the city on fire once again," he wrote yesterday. "I will send more reports and updates on this as I get more information tonight and tomorrow."
Gabriel confirmed reports that the violence began on Christmas Eve when he says seven terrorist bombs were planted in two churches and a market area within Jos City,
Plateau State. All exploded successfully, killing many victims.
"Because of the tense situation, I am not able to take any pictures as the city has been taken over by military personnel. The governor has ordered the military to shoot-on-sight anyone caught fomenting trouble.
"Meanwhile the city is locked up. Conditions are tense and many people are still looking for their lost ones. I understand that the many refugees in the city already number over 300,000 - people who have fled their homes because of attacks.
"While the Jos violence is still going on," Barau said, "another six people including two pastors were killed and a church burnt down in Maiduguri, Borno State. We need prayers for the believers and the work we are doing among these people as radical Muslims are becoming very hostile to Christians in Nigeria. Our mission board, MCM, has a missionary already surveying Maiduguri to help reach the Kanuri people there who are 100% Muslims.
"Pray for our people and missionaries among the Muslims. We will not relent in our efforts to reach them as the Lord is raising up a people for his name among them. Pray for us."

This IS AWESOME!

At 8 years of age, this girl sees the LIGHT! Absolutely inspirational!

Christmas Program

AWESOME!  That is all I can say about it.....

The kids did a super job on putting on our very first Christmas program for the church.  There were solos, duets, and a trio... and a little 'play' where they all had a part and it went great!  This is something they should all remember.... and it was a statement of commitment to the growing church.  What an awesome group of kids we have to start this event for our fellowship!

KIDS... you were terrific!

Here, the trio sing "We Three Kings"....

George Washington put our nation in the hands of God, for guidance.

"It is impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible."

"Let us raise a standard to which the wise and honest can repair; the rest is in the hands of God."

These are two quotes from George Washington... all the more to know and believe that our country was founded on the principle that God is our leader and should have a direct hand in governing our nation... as per the interest of the founding fathers.

Jesus Forgives .. we ought follow him.

Jesus Forgives and Heals a Paralytic
When saw their faith, He said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.” And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, “Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?” But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, He answered and said to them, “Why are you reasoning in your hearts?” which is easier, to say ‘your sins are forgiven you, or to say, ‘Raise up and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of  Man  has power on earth to forgive sins- He said to the man who was paralyzed, I say to you arise, take up your bed, and go to your house. Immediately he rose up before them, took up what he had been lying on and departed to his own house, glorifying God.
                                                             (Luke5: 20-25)
The paralytic was unable to come to Jesus himself, but he was fortunate enough to have four friends who were able to get him to Jesus. These four are example of how friends ought to minister to one another and help needy sinners come to the Savior. To begin with, they had faith that Jesus would heal him, and it is faith that God honors. Their love for the man united them in their efforts so that nothing discouraged them, not even the crowd at the door. Jesus could have simply healed the man and sent him home, but instead, He used the opportunity to teach a lesson about sin and forgiveness. Certainly it was easier to say to the man, “your sins are forgiven!” than it was to say, “Raise up and walk!” Why?
Because nobody could prove whether or not his sins really were forgiven! Jesus took the harder approach and healed the man’s body, something everybody in the house could witness.
The healing was immediate and the people glorified God. But even more than receiving healing, the man experienced forgiveness and the start of a whole new life. Our Lord’s miracles not only demonstrated His deity and His compassion for needy people, but they also revealed important spiritual lessons about salvation. They were “object lessons” to teach spiritually blind people what God could do for them if only they would believe in His Son. Amen

We Should Be Accepting... But be ye careful in choice of friends

Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. (Romans 15:7)
Accepting others does not come easy.  We live in the world where society (the world) teaches us we do not have to put up with this or that... we do not have to accept this or that... we to not have to do this or that...
But do you ever think of the long suffering consequences we are faced with when we live life as the world rather than that as a child of God?  If we learn to accept others for who they are, we do not expect more of them than we are willing to give of ourselves... just the best we can be.  In some, the best may be just getting them to crack half a smile.  But, that is just who they are.

Christ died on the cross -- accepting EVERYONE with all their faults and sins -- to save us from our sins.  If he can do that for us, then shouldn't we at least try a little harder to do that for our brothers and sisters?
Ya know, we do not have to like how they live or what they believe... we do not have to run with them or behave like them.... but as a Christian, it is our job to have acceptance of others.  We should be showing them the light we possess and with hope, we will have made progress to bring another brother or sister with us into the mansions of glory our Father has waiting for us.
Everyone does not have to be unitary, just have a bit of charity in your heart and even in the worst, know there is better trying to surface.  Accept them.  Give them hope and faith.  Give them love and understanding.  For God does that for all of us.  We are to be godly, as Christ.  Tho we ourselves will have sin, we should not throw stones lest we have no sin of our own.
